Backstory

Building a combat ship is no small feat; it has to be truly exceptional to justify the effort. Raunchy is not just another model; it's a labor of love, designed to feel light yet incredibly strong. Many ships struggle in winds of 30 to 40 mph and often lose their outboard wings, but not Raunchy. Countless hours of brainstorming and meticulous planning led to this extraordinary creation.

On a windy day, we launched Raunchy for its test flight. It soared through the skies with the eagerness of a bird, zipping smoothly and responding perfectly to every movement of the handle. It brought me the same joy as my first loop in the air.

The 1/8 x 1/2 spars kept the outboard wing intact during sharp maneuvers, while the 16% stunt-type airfoil eliminated yawing and maintained speed in tight turns. Its 33 sq inch stabilizer added just the right amount of stability, allowing for quick movements with minimal input. The thrill of that successful test flight is a testament to the model's innovative design and my pride in its performance.
